Community Ambassadors Project

NCAT are please to be running a community ambassadors project in partnership with the Spectrum Radio Network. This project aims to help raised cancer awareness in specific communities.

The pilot of this project is being run with the Ghanaian and Bangladeshi communities. We have appointed a community ambassador for each of these communities. They are Misbah Jamal for the Bangladeshi Community and Mugabe Maase for the Ghanaian community. Both these gentlemen already have high profiles in their communities and are presenters on local community radio shows.

Our Ambassadors will run a series of informative and engaging cancer awareness radio shows, featuring special guests such as doctors, nurses, charity representative sand community figureheads. These programmes will highlight key information about specific cancer types and general cancer awareness.

The ambassadors will also attend many community events to raise cancer awareness on a face to face basis. For more information about the Ambassadors themselves and the shows, as well as a chance to listen to them go to www.spectrumradio.net/ncat
