Current Projects
The National Cancer Action Team's ( NCAT ) work plan for 2011-12 has now been agreed. For the Patient Experience Team this will include arming patients with greater knowledge and information about cancer, reducing inequalities, and enabling staff to deliver excellent cancer care in the most appropriate settings.

National Cancer Equality Initiative (NCEI)
Reducing cancer inequalities is important. NCAT will be leading the work of the NCEI and ensuring that all national cancer strategy takes the issue of equality into account. NCEI will also put systems in place to improve data collection and enhance the NHS's understanding of inequalities.
