NCAT celebrate Vaisakhi in Birmingham
NCAT headed to Birmingham on the 22nd April 2012. We had a stall at the local Vaisakhi festival to distribute copies of our Asian health supplement.
The supplement aims to raise awareness of cancer and encourage uptake of screening appointments in Asian communities. It features information on signs and symptoms of cancer, along with stories from patients and support from celebrities.
The festival was a fantastic, lively, colourful day and over 3,000 copies of the supplement were handed out.
As well as manning the stall, NCAT staff and volunteers headed out into the festival to distribute copies of the supplement and other useful cancer awareness information to those attending.
